DownloadFirst police affidavit sworn in the Barry and Honey Sherman murder case. Written by Detective Kristy Devine
DownloadThis first affidavit is short at 39 pages. Its purpose is to get search warrents for the Shermans’ electronic devices. Especially noteworthy is the fact that only Honey is listed as a murder victim and Detective Devine essentially rules out suicide.
It’s worth returning to and rereading this document after you’ve been through all the other ones if only to see what jumps out at you.

DownloadSecond police affidavit sworn in the Barry and Honey Sherman murder case. Written by Detective Kristy Devine
DownloadAt 102 pages, this is the second and final affidavit written by Detective Kristy Devine. She has a different style from Detective Yim, who takes over for the later affidavits so it’s interesting to see some of the differences in how she presents evidence, especially the interview. Again, this is a good affidavit to return to if you’ve been buried in Yim’s affidavits.
